Loosely Woven Denim Zip Up Blouson - White

For designer Keiji Kaneko, denim jackets produced by obscure American workwear brands in the 1940s held a distinct appeal—specifically, their designs that sought to differentiate themselves from major labels through unique details, such as fly-front zippers and pockets placed exclusively on the left side.  Given the eclectic mix of details already present in the originals, Kaneko opted to forgo any further design alterations, focusing solely on adjusting the sizing.  The result is a contemporary fit that subtly refines the original’s voluminous silhouette—characterized by an ample body width and oversized armholes—to create a more modern aesthetic.

The garment is crafted from a specialized denim fabric.  It utilizes thick #5-count yarn spun with a loose twist and woven with a low density to ensure a soft finish; furthermore, a rigorous washing process is applied to induce significant shrinkage, thereby accentuating the distinct diagonal ridges of the twill weave.   Its allure lies in a unique weight and drape that set it apart from standard heavy-ounce denims.
