The warp threads are made with yarn dyed using the "Awa Sho-aizome" method, a traditional dyeing technique that Japan is proud to present to the world.
Since it's impossible to achieve such a deep color in a single dyeing process, the craftsmen repeat the steps of "dyeing," "squeezing," and "drying" many times.
Through this meticulous work, a deep, rich color with a sense of depth is gradually created.
The weft threads use hand-dyed yarn using the "persimmon tannin dyeing" method.
Hand-dyed yarn is thicker than machine-dyed yarn, creating a unique uneven texture, resulting in a fabric with a distinctive unevenness that sets it apart from regular 15oz denim.
